I am an academic philosopher currently based in southern California.

Starting in Fall 2024, I will be a postdoctoral Research Associate at Chapman University's Smith Institute for Political Economy and Philosophy.

You can contact me at andstewart@chapman.edu!

As of early August, I will have officially earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Southern California (USC). My dissertation advisor was Jonathan Quong.

The questions that most interest me lie at the intersection of metaphilosophy ("philosophy about philosophy") and social and political philosophy. I also specialize in normative ethics and the history of political thought. My further interests include early modern philosophy, applied ethics, and metaethics.

As an undergraduate, I studied philosophy and political science at Kenyon College. I'm a proud Clevelander.

My pronouns are they/them/theirs or he/him/his.
